If you’d like to share your webpage's URL on social media, but want your post to include the Vimeo player, you’ll need to add some extra code to your website’s <head> element. Unfortunately, at this time, Facebook is no longer permitting inline playback for third party players (i.e not videos not natively uploaded to Facebook). As of August 1, 2018, they are also no longer permitting the automatic posting of Vimeo activity or publishing of videos, via Vimeo’s Publish to Social feature, to Facebook profiles. Publishing directly to Facebook pages is still permitted.
