As part of recent internet regulations (e.g. GDPR, CCPA), your customers have the right to request access to the known data about their account. As such, you may find yourself fielding requests from customers to have a copy of their data sent to them. Vimeo OTT provides internal tools for gathering and delivering this information.
Right of Data Access for your Customers
If you find yourself fielding requests from customers inquiring how and where they can request their data, follow the steps below. Please note that this process only sends the data to the customer, not yourself or anyone on your team.
- Send them the link to your Help form (YOUR SUBDOMAIN.vhx.tv/contact).
- Have them choose “Data request/Account Deletion (GDPR, BDSG, CCPA)” from the Category drop-down menu.
- In the Message field, have them submit a request for their known data.
From there, Vimeo OTT Support will handle the request and deliver the data in the required time window for delivery. You will be notified when the data delivery is complete.
