Each Vimeo account has a primary email address. In addition to this, you can associate other email addresses you own with your Vimeo — for example, your personal email and your work email.
When you connect more than one address to your Vimeo account, any of the verified emails can be used in combination with your account password to log in.
Keep in mind, this feature is not designed as a way of granting multi-user access to your Vimeo account. Vimeo PRO and Vimeo Business members have the option of adding additional team members and giving them upload access or administrative access to their accounts. Learn more about team collaboration.
Adding additional email addresses to your account
To associate another one of your email addresses with your Vimeo account:
- Visit your Account Settings
- Click "+ Add another email address"
- Enter any address that is not already associated with a Vimeo account
- Check the inbox of the email you just added, and click the link to verify the account
Once the email has been verified, it can be used along with your password to log in to your account.
Please be aware that email notifications for your account will only be sent to the primary email address on your account. However, all email addresses can be used to log in and they always share the same password.
Changing your primary email address
To change your primary email address:
- Follow the steps above to add the new email to your account
- Once the new email is verified, you can click the "Make Primary" option in your Account Settings
You are free to delete the previous primary address once you select a new primary address.
Deleting an email address
You can delete any email address that has been added to your account, expect for your primary address. Simply click the "Delete" option next to any address in your Account Settings. If you want to delete your primary address, you'll need to add a new email and change it to your primary address first.
