The DMCA provides a process that allows users and copyright holders to work out their disputes. If you believe that the claimant has mistakenly filed the notice, you may file a counter-notification through our online form. Vimeo will forward a copy of your counter-notification to the claimant. The claimant then has ten (10) business days to inform Vimeo that they have filed a lawsuit against you. If Vimeo does not receive such a notice, we will restore your video and the strike associated with it.
Please note that if Vimeo believes that you have filed a counter-notification in bad faith, it will not restore your video and it may disable your account. In addition, you may be subject to legal liability for filing a false and misleading counter-notification.
