Mevo is a live streaming camera that allows you to produce professional broadcasts with one device. With a Vimeo Premium subscription, you are able to use Mevo to stream directly to your live events on Vimeo. We’ve fully integrated Mevo with Vimeo so that you can use all Mevo features with your live events.
From within the Mevo app, you can:
- Create new live events and go live to them
- Select scheduled events on Vimeo Live and go live to them
- Insert graphics, logos, and visual elements to your stream
- Simulate a multi-camera broadcast using Mevo’s live editing feature.
Any Vimeo account can be used to log into the Mevo app. Basic members can upgrade to Vimeo Producer to be able to simulcast their Mevo streams to social platforms and add graphic overlays, lower thirds, or logos to their streams as well. Vimeo Producer members cannot stream to Vimeo Live and must upgrade to Vimeo Premium in order to do so.
If you are a Plus, Pro, or Business member interested in these features, please contact us, as you will not be able to upgrade to Producer or Premium from within the Mevo app. Vimeo Premium members have access to all Mevo features and the ability to stream using Vimeo Live.
For help getting started with Mevo, you can check out the Mevo Help Center.
Mevo announcement 3/29/2019
Creator of the original Mevo camera Max Haot purchased the Mevo business from Vimeo in April 2019. His company, and the Mevo camera’s new home, is Mevo Inc.
Mevo Inc. now manages all aspects of the Mevo business, including manufacturing, direct sales, shipping, repairs, returns, and support (to reach out to Mevo support, visit their Help Center).
If you are a Vimeo Producer or Premium subscriber with a Mevo camera, nothing changes – Vimeo continues to power the live streaming software and cloud capabilities for all Mevo cameras. The Vimeo Support Team is also still equipped to help you set up and use your Mevo camera with your Vimeo Producer or Premium subscription.
If you are a Livestream Studio Software user as well, you can continue to use your Mevo as a remote camera source during your broadcasts.
