We understand that you are justifiably proud of your work and it is annoying when a takedown notice comes in for a video that you have worked on, but the law requires us to take videos down when we receive these kinds of notices.
There are times when copyright enforcement agencies have no idea that you are actually sharing your work and have permission from the copyright owner to share it on Vimeo.
We understand how frustrating this must be, but as a hosting provider, we must remove the video when the copyright owner or their agent sends us a formal takedown notice.
If you had permission and you believe that your material has been removed by mistake or misidentification, you can always talk to the copyright enforcement agency who made the complaint and convince them to retract their claim. You can also file a counter-notification to challenge the claim and get your video restored.
