Features on the Android App
The Create app offers all the tools that are available on desktop. You can browse templates or create your own video and customize it using the editor. You can also view all your videos from your account through the “My Videos” tab.
From the app, you can use publish to social to send your new video file to any of your connected social platforms.
To start creating your video, you can create a Vimeo account or log in to your existing Vimeo account.
The number of videos that can be published is based on your Vimeo membership. Not sure which plan type you have? Check “Membership” in the upper left corner of your account settings.
💡Tip: The term “cap” refers to all videos uploaded to Vimeo, not just videos through Vimeo Create.
- Free: 2 videos per month with an annual cap of 25 videos.
- Monthly plan: 5 videos per seat per month with an annual cap of 60 videos.
- Annual plan: 60 videos per seat per year.
- Standard: 10 videos per month with an annual cap of 120 videos.
- Advanced: 20 videos per month with an annual cap of 240 videos.
⚠️Note: Creators with a Basic membership can create up to 10 videos maximum with a 30-second duration limit per video. Videos created with Free and Basic accounts will include a Vimeo watermark.
Publishing to social
After you have saved your creation to your Vimeo account, you can publish the video to Facebook and Youtube. When you publish a video to a social platform, we send the highest transcoded file to their platform for transcoding.
Currently, we do not support publishing to Instagram through our publish to social tool. When you share to Instagram through the app, your video will be downloaded to your device and shared directly to Instagram. This means we will not be able to collect any statistics through Instagram.
Viewing social analytics
💡Tip: Viewing social analytics is available for paid plans only.
We collect social analytics through the API for the specific social platform. The video data from that platform will be synced into your Vimeo account and viewable through the Vimeo Create app or on desktop within the video’s settings page. On platforms where posts can be reshared (i.e. Facebook), we can only collect the data from the original post. You will notice that Facebook separates views from the original post and from shared posts.
