Using the trim tool in Vimeo Create you can shorten, extend or select different parts of your video clips to show in your video.

Using the trim tool (Web)
1. Click on the thumbnail of the scene (photo or video) you'd like to trim. Then click on "Timeline", you can also find the scissors icon on the right hand side in the scene editor.
2. Click and hold either the left or right marker to shorten or extend the selected part of your photo or video duration. Note that in video clips, the marker's position is previewed while you move it. Click "Done" when you are done.
3. For video clips, you can also choose "Trim mode" where you'll be able to see the entire clip in the timeline bar.
Using the trim tool (iOS)
- Tap on the video scene you would like to trim.
- You can zoom in and out of the timeline bar by pinching/spreading in order to condense/extend the bar. The zoom in works on an incremental system and depends on the size of the clip in the scene.
- Shorten or extend the video length by tapping on the timeline bar until the blue box appears and dragging it right or left. You will be able to see a preview of the beginning or end of the clip as you drag each side of the bar.
*To move on to the next scene, tap on the video scene or on the downwards arrow on the bottom left-hand side of the screen.
Using the trim tool (Android)
- Select the video scene you would like to trim.
- Drag the timeline handles either to the left or right to shorten or extend the selected part of your video clip.
- Shorten or extend the video length by tapping on the timeline bar until the blue box appears and dragging it right or left. You will be able to see a preview of the beginning or end of the clip as you drag each side of the bar.
*To move on to the next scene, tap on the video scene or on the downwards arrow on the bottom left-hand side of the screen.
