Seniority badges are currently in beta and display on the web.
Seniority badges automatically reward your most loyal subscribers with a visible loyalty badge based on how long they've been subscribed to your channel. Badges appear in the viewer profile and next to community activity such as comments, and update on their own as a subscriber's tenure grows — no action required from you or the viewer.

What are seniority badges?
Seniority badges are small loyalty labels that are automatically assigned to your subscribers based on their subscription tenure — the length of time they've been continuously subscribed to your channel. A subscriber moves up through the tiers you define the longer they stay subscribed, and the badge they've earned is shown publicly as a status signal to other members of your community.
Because tier is determined entirely by subscription tenure, badges are assigned and updated automatically. Subscribers don't need to do anything to earn or claim a badge, and you don't need to assign them manually.
How seniority badges work
- Automatic assignment. Each subscriber automatically receives the badge that matches their current subscription tenure. No action is required from the viewer.
- Tenure-based tiers. Each badge tier is defined by a minimum and maximum number of subscription days. A subscriber is shown the badge for the tier their tenure currently falls into.
- Dynamic updates. As a subscriber's tenure increases, their badge updates automatically to reflect the next tier they reach — no manual refresh needed.
- Publicly visible. Badges are visible to other users wherever they appear, creating a status signal that rewards loyalty and encourages longer subscriptions.
Where badges appear
Once enabled, a subscriber's seniority badge is displayed in two places:
- Viewer profile — the badge appears on the subscriber's profile.
- Community activity — the badge appears alongside the subscriber's comments and replies, so other community members can see their loyalty at a glance.
How to enable seniority badges
You manage seniority badges from your OTT admin under your community and engagement settings.
- In your OTT admin, open the Engagement menu and select Seniority badges.
- Create the badge tiers you want to offer (see the next section).
- Make sure each badge you want subscribers to earn is set to Active. A badge marked Active is visible and earnable by users; switch a badge to inactive at any time to hide it without deleting it.
💡 Tip: Once a badge is active, it begins appearing automatically for subscribers who meet its tier threshold — there's nothing to assign manually.
How to configure your badge tiers
Each badge tier is defined by a tenure range, so you control how long a subscriber must stay subscribed to reach each level. To set up your tiers:
- Go to Engagement → Seniority badges and click Create badge.
- Badge name — give each tier a name that subscribers will see (for example, “Newjoiner,” “Member,” or “Gold”).
- Description — add a short description that explains the tier to subscribers.
- Icon — upload an icon for the badge. We recommend a 128×128 PNG with transparency.
- Active — keep the badge set to Active so it's visible and earnable by users.
-
Trigger rule — set the subscription length that qualifies a subscriber for the badge:
- Minimum (≥) — the fewest days subscribed required to earn the badge.
- Maximum (≤) — the most days subscribed the badge applies to (optional; leave it blank for an open-ended top tier).
- Click Save badge to apply your changes.
💡 Tip: Set your tier ranges so they don't overlap and cover the full span of tenure you expect. A subscriber is always shown the single tier their current tenure falls into.
