The Vimeo Android mobile app is compatible with phones and tablets running Android 8.0 (Oreo) and newer. We do our best to support most Android mobile devices, but due to the open nature of Android, we’re unable to comprehensively test the app in all environments and markets.

Install the Vimeo android app
To install the Vimeo Android app, search for “Vimeo” in the Google Play Store or visit Google Play: Vimeo. The Vimeo app is only supported when downloaded from the Google Play Store. Please exercise caution when downloading apps from unofficial sources.
⚠️Note:
- Uploading and live streaming from the app requires access to your device’s Storage, Microphone, and Camera. Push notifications must be enabled if you want alerts for new activity on Vimeo.
- If your device connects to the internet through a VPN, proxy, or bonded internet connection, or if your device’s connection is routed through a content filtering service from your internet provider, the app may not be able to reliably connect to our servers. For a reliable experience, temporarily disable the service while using the Vimeo app.
To delete the app, follow the instructions outlined in the 'Delete the Vimeo Android mobile app' Help Center article.
Vimeo app languages
The Vimeo app is currently localized and translated into English, French, German, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish. The app will detect your device’s default language and will use one of these languages; it is not possible to manually select a preferred language within the app. If your preferred language is not available the app will default to English.
