This feature requires a Premium or Advanced plan, or an Enterprise account with the Event features enabled.
The DVR (Digital Video Recording) feature allows your viewers to rewatch, catch up on missed content, or pause the live stream to resume watching it later while it is streaming.
For live broadcasts, the organizers can enable or disable DVR alongside the rest of the event settings. However, this feature is not available in venues.
To enable or disable DVR:
- Create a live broadcast or webinar, or select an event you’ve already created from your library.
- On the event settings page, select the Settings gear in the upper righthand corner, then Production.
- Toward the bottom of the panel, toggle DVR on or off. Note that by default, DVR will be toggled on.
Additional information:
- With DVR enabled, viewers can rewind up to the most recent four hours of your stream while it’s live. Rest assured that events longer than four hours will be fully archived and available for playback in their entirety after the event ends.
- For Enterprise clients with eCDN enabled for their team/organization, enabling DVR on Live events will decrease the efficiency of peering with these solutions.
