Before creating a live event, take note of the following:
- You can stream a live event in up to 1080p HD resolution.

How to create a live event
To create an event from the Vimeo home page:
- From the Vimeo homepage, start a new project in one of two ways:
- Select + Create in the top navigation bar, then select Video project from the dropdown menu.
- Select Host event or webinar from the menu located in the center of the Vimeo home page.
- Select + Create in the top navigation bar, then select Video project from the dropdown menu.
- If prompted, select Live Stream.
- Choose a setup option that best suits the needs of your event:
- Set up from scratch: Start a new event from a blank canvas and manually configure all settings.
- Choose event type: Choose from recommended settings that match different events, such as a Live Broadcast or Team Event.
- Reuse Settings: Copy the settings you used in a previously created event.
- Follow the setup flow to configure the settings for your event.
- Select Create to create your new event. The new event will be stored in the Live Events folder of your library.
After creating a live event, you will enter the web-based production studio to manage and run your broadcast.
