You can configure SCIM to create and manage team accounts and user groups. This article discusses how you can set up a SCIM connection with Vimeo for your organization using Microsoft Entra ID as your IdP (Identity Provider).

How to prepare the Vimeo API application

  1. https://developer.vimeo.com 열기
  2. 팀 소유자로 로그인합니다.
  3. 시작 또는 새 앱을 클릭합니다.
  4. 양식을 작성한 다음 앱 만들기를 선택합니다.
  5. 스크롤을 아래로 내려 Generate an access token 섹션으로 이동합니다.

How to configure the Entra ID App

  1. Vimeo에 사용되는 기존 Vimeo 애플리케이션으로 이동합니다.
  2. 프로비저닝 -> 자격 증명 업데이트 -> 관리자 자격 증명 열기로 이동합니다.
  3. 테넌트 URL을 https://api.vimeo.com/scim/v2/1234567로 설정합니다. 여기서 "1234567"은 Vimeo 팀 소유자의 사용자 ID입니다(필수 조건 참조).
  4. 위 섹션에서 비밀 토큰을 설정합니다(Vimeo API 애플리케이션 준비하기).
  5. 테스트 연결을 선택합니다.
  6. 구성을 저장합니다.
  7. 매핑을 엽니다.
  8. Go to Provision Microsoft Entra ID Groups.
  9. Set up like on the screenshot below and Save.

How to provision users from Entra ID to Vimeo

  1. Select Start provisioning button in the Entra ID Enterprise application. App page within Entra ID platform
  2. After that, every user you assign to the application under Users and groups will be provisioned into Vimeo.
  3. After provisioning is initiated you can check the Team Management page for those provisioned users. 

About supported user attributes for SCIM configuration

When you change a user, keep UserName and Email attributes identical. Vimeo supports the below user attributes:

  • schemas (읽기 전용, SCIM 사양에 필요)
  • id (읽기 전용, SCIM 사양에 필요)
  • Username (변경 가능, 이메일에 동일한 값 필요)
  • Name (변경 가능)
    • name.formatted (givenName+familyName과 동일)
    • name.givenName
    • name.familyName
  • displayName (givenName+familyName과 동일)
  • Active (변경 가능)
  • emails (type=work 및 primary=true만) (변경 가능)
  • profileUrl (읽기 전용)
  • locale (변경 가능)
  • groups (읽기 전용, /Groups 엔드포인트에서 변경 가능)
  • meta (읽기 전용)
