You can cast videos to your Apple AirPlay or Google Chromecast-equipped TV or TV device by using the Vimeo app for iPhone, iPad, or Android mobile devices.
In this article, learn how to cast videos using:
AirPlay
To AirPlay a video to an Apple TV or other AirPlay-capable device using the Vimeo app for iOS:
- Start playing a video in the Vimeo iOS app.
- Select the AirPlay icon
in the bottom-right corner of the video.
- Select the device that you'd like to view the video on to cast to that device.
Viewers can also AirPlay videos from the Safari browser on macOS, iOS, and iPadOS. To do so, select the AirPlay icon in the Vimeo Player and select your preferred device.

Chromecast
To cast a video to a Google Chromecast device, or a device with Chromecast built-in:
- Start playing a video in the Vimeo app for Android or in the Google Chrome browser.
- Select the Chromecast icon
in the bottom-right of the video.
- Select the device that you'd like to view the video on to cast to that device.

⚠️Note: Chromecast’s default setup will experience difficulty playing HLS playlists on some devices. As an alternative, use the A/V DASH MPD Playlist URL instead.
What if I don't see the Chromecast or Airplay button?
Video creators may choose to toggle on or off the ability for their viewers to cast videos via Chromecast or AirPlay. If you are not seeing these options on a video, this means the video owner has disabled them.
