A time trigger action is an event triggered by the video reaching a specific timestamp in the video.
This article discusses how to create and customize time triggers in the interactive video editor. When creating a time trigger, you can customize its settings in the time trigger panel.
⚠️Note: When comparing FPS to milliseconds, be aware that time-trigger input values may behave differently than expected due to variations in the rendering engine process.

Time Trigger Settings
- Name: Set a name for your time trigger. Naming time triggers helps you manage your time triggers and your navigation points on the timeline.
- Trigger Time: You can update the trigger time by either manually entering the time in the panel or by dragging the flow line on the timeline.
Time Trigger Actions
Along with its name and at which point the time trigger is set for your video, you can also set the action for the time trigger in the panel. Use the dropdown menu under Action to make your selection.
Jump to a time in the video
Take the viewer to another specific time in the video when reaching a certain time in the video.
For example, when a video reaches 03:12, you can set your time trigger to jump back to 02:31.
You can manually input your jump-to time in the settings panel or select and drag the jump-to-point on the timeline.
Pause the video
Pause the video at a set time and drive interaction from your viewer. For example, you can set the video to pause at 0:46 and have the viewer interact with a question to continue watching.
You can also select and drag the indicator on the timeline to select your pause time.
Open overlay
You can set a time trigger to open an overlay at a certain point in your video.
If you have not created an overlay, select Create Overlay to launch the overlay editor.
You can also edit a previously created overlay by selecting the Edit button over the preview of your overlay.
Select whether or not you'd like the overlay to close after a set time (and set the duration in seconds) and whether or not the video should be paused when the overlay is active.
You can also select and drag the open overlay point on the timeline to select which time you'd like the overlay to open.
