You can customize your showcases to reflect the identity of your brand, project, or presentation. This article will cover what types of settings are available and how to customize your showcase’s appearance. To edit showcase privacy settings, see How to manage the privacy of your showcase.

Customizing showcases overview
Once you’ve created your showcase, you will see a panel on the left side of the showcase settings page with three sections: Settings, Layout, and Playback.
Within Settings, you can edit the following:
- Title
- Description
- Privacy

Branding
- Dark mode: Enable dark mode for an alternative viewing experience (available for Player view)
- Color: Choose a primary color
- Custom logo: Upload a custom logo
- Vimeo logo: Show or hide Vimeo’s logo (available for Player view)
In the Layout panel, your available options are based on the layout you choose. For example, the option to show or hide Vimeo’s app navigation only applies to the Featured content layout.
Within Layout, the following options are available:

Featured content
- Navigation: Controls such as Vimeo navigation, Search, and Copy link.
- Featured content: You can change the showcase featured banner image and text, and other text details.
- Video grid: You can add or remove videos, create an Event and customize the video order as well as the appearance of the video cards’ display within the showcase.
- Player view
- Video grid: You can add videos to your embedded playlist or create an Event as well as customize the video order of your playlist.
Within Playback, you can customize the following:
- Behavior (available for Player view)
- Autoplay: Your videos will automatically play upon loading the showcase
- Loop: The first video in your showcase will automatically play once the last video ends.
- Engagement
- Like: Add or remove the Like button from the video page.
- Share: Add or remove the Share button from the video page.
- Comments: Add or remove the comment section from the video page.
- Download: Add or remove the Download button from the video page.
- Now playing
- Title: Add or remove the title from the video page.
- Description: Add or remove the description.
- Profile picture: Add or remove the profile photo.
- Profile name: Add or remove the profile name.
- Views: Add or remove the views from the video page.
- Date added: Add or remove the date the video was added to the showcase.
- Video grid
- Video cards: You can choose to display the thumbnails or include the entire player for the videos within the showcase.
- Grid size: Change the size of the video player within the showcase.
- Video count: Add or remove the number of videos within the showcase.
- Titles: Add or remove the titles of the videos within the showcase.
- Profile pictures: Add or remove the profile photos from the videos within the showcase.
- Profile names: Add or remove the profile names from the videos within the showcase.
How to preview my showcase
To preview your showcase customizations, you will need to save any changes, then follow these steps:
- Open your showcase from your Library.
- You will see a banner at the top of the page with options to switch between web and mobile views.
- Select the mobile icon to see the mobile view within the showcase settings page.

To open a full webpage preview of your showcase in a tab, select the out-link icon at the top-right of the page.
How to customize my showcase from the preview
You can customize your showcase right from the preview screen by hovering over the area. To do so:
- Within your showcase settings, you’ll see the preview screen of your showcase.
- Hover over the top portion of the preview. A blue outline should appear with a Customize button on the right side.
- Select Customize.
- Repeat these steps for the Banner section at the bottom of the preview and the Video grid below that.
- You can customize the video grid or manage the videos within your showcase from there.

How to customize the banner on my featured content showcase
You can customize the banner background on your featured content showcase for a more personalized appearance. To do so:
- Within your showcase settings, select the Layout tab.
- Ensure the Featured content layout is selected then choose the Featured content tab.
- Under the Background section, select the drop-down.
- You can choose between None, Video thumbnail, or Custom image.
- If you want to update the thumbnail of the featured video, you can do so from that video’s settings page.
- If you choose Video thumbnail, hover over the thumbnail photo and click Select from video. A pop-up modal will appear where you can pick which video or event you’d like to make the featured video in this Showcase.
- If you choose Custom image, you can upload your own branded banner by selecting Upload image.
- Under the Details section, you can use the toggles to show or hide the Title, Description, and Start watching button. In addition, you can set your text Alignment.
- The settings will save automatically.
⚠️Note: When a video or live event is featured, you can choose whether the banner displays the Showcase title and description or the Video title and description.
For example, if you feature a live event about 'Product Launch' in a showcase titled 'Company Events,' you can use this setting to have the banner display either 'Company Events' or 'Product Launch' as the main title.
