If your video has spoken English audio, the text-based editing feature can be used with the trimmer tool to edit out filler words, silent gaps, and other unwanted speech sections.

Using text-based video editing in the video editor
Text-based video editing tools are available for use in the video editor.
To use text-based video editing in the video editor:
- Select the Transcript button above the Timeline.
- Select the Transcribe button next to the video clips that the editor recognizes contain speech.
- This will extend the "Transcription" menu from the left-side toolbar.
- You can switch between transcriptions for all of the clips in your video by selecting the name and thumbnail preview in the transcription frame.
Searching the transcript
Select the search bar at the top of the transcription to search the transcript for specific words in your video. The keywords will be highlighted in your transcript.
Removing Filler Words and Word Gaps
Select the AI Sparkles to identify and bulk-remove all filler words (e.g., ums and uhs) at once, or identify and bulk-remove the total number of word gaps based on a minimum length you set.
Deleting Words
Highlight a word or multiple words from your transcript that you would like to delete. Select Remove from Video to delete the clip containing that word from your video.
Show or Hide Deleted Words:
You can show or hide all deleted words from the transcript by toggling the Show/Hide deleted words button.
