You can upload a video to your Vimeo account using the Vimeo iOS app or the Vimeo Android app. Videos uploaded through the app count towards your account’s number of videos or storage quota.
To upload a video on the Vimeo mobile app (iOS):
- From the Vimeo app homepage, select the new video button - a blue rectangle with the black plus sign in the middle.
- Select Upload.
- Select the video that you would like to upload.
💡Tip: If you have not given the Vimeo app access to your camera roll on your device, you will be prompted to do so here. This can be later managed in the Settings menu on your device. Learn more from Apple Support at Control access to information in apps on iPhone/Control access to information in apps on iPad - After selecting the file that you would like to upload, you can give it a title, a description, and set its privacy settings. You can also use the Trim tool to remove unwanted sections from your video’s beginning and end by holding and dragging the handles on either side of the video.
- Select the Save button to upload your video to your Library.
To upload a video on the Vimeo mobile app (Android)
- From the Vimeo app homepage, select the new video button - a blue rectangle with the black plus sign in the middle.
- Select Upload a video from the menu.
- Select the video that you would like to upload.
💡Tip: If you have not given the Vimeo app access to your photos and videos on your device, you will be prompted to do so here. This can later be managed in the Apps menu on your device. Learn more from Google Support at - Trim the beginning and end of the video if necessary by holding and dragging the blue handles on either side of the video.
- Select Done.
- Provide a title, a description, which folder you would like to save your video to, and set its privacy settings.
- Select Upload to upload your video.
