The amount of video content you are entitled to have on your Vimeo account is measured differently based on which plan type you have and, in some cases, when you first created your account. This article will outline the different ways video is measured based on the plan you have.
If you’re not sure which plan you are on or when you created your account, check the upper left-hand corner of your account settings.
Weekly upload quota (Basic, Plus, Pro)
Basic, Plus, and Pro plans are granted a specified amount of video storage you can upload per week. This quota resets every seven days, starting with the day you subscribed to the plan.
- If you reach your upload limit within that seven-day period, you will not be able to upload until your quota resets. You can track when this occurs by hovering over the tracker in the lower left-hand corner of your library.
- There is no total storage limit for the lifetime of Plus and Pro plans.
- Basic plans are limited to 10 uploads per day, 5GB total storage

If you are on a Free, Starter, Standard, or Advanced plan and you created your account before June 17, 2024, you are granted a set number of videos that you can add to your account. These plans do not limit you by upload quota, storage, or file sizes.
Total storage (all other plans)
All other plans–Starter, Standard, and Advanced accounts created on or after June 17, 2024; Pro Unlimited, Business, Premium–are granted a lifetime total storage cap, measured in gigabytes (GB) or terabytes (TB). This means you can store as much content as you want in any timeframe until you reach your plan's total limit, as long as you are still subscribed to the plan.
- You will not be able to upload any more videos once your account reaches the total storage limit.
- The total storage does not reset or renew.
