Federated search allows you to include Vimeo videos in the search results for your enterprise intranet or knowledge-sharing and file-sharing tools, such as Microsoft SharePoint. Federated search allows users of these tools within your company to access content you host on Vimeo without requiring a Vimeo login.
To use federated search, you will need:
- A Vimeo Enterprise account.
- Videos in your library in team folders.
- A third-party platform, such as an intranet, that supports external search connections. Federated search performs best on platforms that support OAuth 2.0 authentication for permissions-based searches.
- A Vimeo user ID for the team member who is requesting the search results from the API.
- An API app registered to the Vimeo user requesting the search results from the API. Visit
