This article will outline how you can watch a live event and use each of the features from the live settings page. You can create a live event from your library.

Watching a live event
Once you have created a live event on Vimeo, you can watch your live event by clicking on the URL from the “Link” option under the Event tab from the live settings. This is also the link that you can share with viewers who can then watch your event on vimeo.com.
Click on the copied URL link and open it in a new browser window. You will see the below event player page:
You can choose to show various features on the event page to your viewers from the live settings page.
Chat
The broadcasters have the option to show or hide the chat window from viewers by toggling on/off the chat from the live event settings.
Enabling the chat will open up a chat window on the right side of the player on the event page. Messages and emojis will appear on the right side of the chat window whereas others’ messages will appear alongside their names on the left side. Learn more about chat here.
If you turn on Polls or Q&A during your event, these will also open to the right of the player for viewers to participate in.

Pre-live
You can select the viewing experience of your live event. Toggling on the pre-live features will enable and show the recurring event schedule for your live event before you start streaming, as shown below:
Playlist
You can choose to show/hide the playlist of your archived events from your viewers. You can also enable autoplay of the next video in the playlist within the same recurring event. Toggling on the Playlist features will show the following in the upper left corner of the player:
Customization
You can also customize the live player by showing/hiding the live viewer count, customizing the color (you’ll see the change on the volume control icon), and showing the Vimeo logo or your own logo.
