This feature is currently exclusive to videos created or modified on Vimeo using the editor.
This article discusses how to make a copy of a video on Vimeo without altering the original.
To edit a video without altering the original, you can use the Make a copy feature to duplicate the video.
⚠️Note: Videos uploaded, recorded, or from live events on Vimeo cannot be copied unless they have been modified in the editor. The option will not appear in the dropdown menu. To make a copy of a video not modified in the editor, re-upload the video.
For Enterprise accounts with Workspaces: The video copy will be saved in the same Workspace where the original was created. Visit How to transfer videos between Workspaces to learn how to transfer videos to a different Workspace.
To make a copy of your video:
- From your Library, select the video that you would like to make a copy of to navigate to the video settings page.
Select the options menu (…) in the top right corner of the video settings page.

Select Make a copy from the dropdown menu.

A pop-up will appear where you can change the name of the duplicated video.
- Select OK when you've named the copy of your video. The copy will be saved to your library.
