To begin creating your new video, select the 'Create new or from template' button from the quick start menu.
You can also hover over the "New video" button from the Vimeo homepage and click on "Create a video" from the dropdown menu.
You can then create a video from an existing template or make your own from scratch. You can use Vimeo's video maker and editor to create your video
You can use keywords to search for a template if you have an idea of what kind of video you want (note: the search only works in English at this time).
Once you’ve selected a template, you will be taken directly to the editor where you can further customize your video.
Once you’re done customizing the template slides with your own text and images, click “Save and preview” to be taken to your preview page. From there, you can watch your creation and it will be automatically added to your Library. You can make changes to your video by clicking on "Edit video" or delete or make a copy of it by clicking on the three dots.
Supported media types include:
Photo file types: JPG, JPEG, GIF, BMP, TIFF, PNG
Video file types: 3GP, AVI, MOV, MP4, MPG, M2TS
You can choose from preexisting stock music, which is available to use on any Vimeo video, on or off the site. You can also upload your own music by clicking on the button in the upper right corner of the modal window marked ‘Upload your music’. You can also choose not to add any music to your video. If you choose to upload your own songs, you’ll see a pop-up window that asks you to agree that you own said music or have obtained the proper license to incorporate it into your videos.
Please be aware that videos with custom music cannot be made public on Vimeo or any of the Vimeo apps, even if you’ve obtained the necessary licensing. They can only be downloaded or published on social. The only available privacy setting for videos with custom music is “Private.” This type of privacy setting can work for teams who are collaborating on a single account (such as Enterprise-level teams). Read more about privacy settings at 'Overview of video privacy settings'. Videos that are locked to “Private” can be embedded, however, please note that no one apart from yourself will be able to watch the clip.
