How do I add and edit text in the editor?

Text can be added to your video in the video editor.

⚠️Note:  Some languages that use non-Latin alphabets may encounter display issues. Each text box has a 100-character limit.

To add text: 

  1. Select the Text button from the left-side panel. 
  2. Select from one of the four default text presets (Title, Headline, Subheadline, or Caption) or select + Add text to add a blank text box.
  3. Add the text that you would like to appear in the textbox. (up to 100 alphanumeric characters), 

After adding text to your video, a text box element will appear on the Timeline. You can adjust the duration of the text box in the video by selecting and dragging its edges. To change when the text box appears, select and drag the box itself within the Timeline.

How to highlight text in your video 

Highlighting text can draw attention to important information or emphasize certain words or phrases.

To highlight text: 

  1. Select the textbox to access the Edit Text menu in the left-side panel.
  2. Select the desired text (whether it is a single letter, a word, or the entire text box). 
  3. Select the Highlight button at the bottom left of the text box to change the selected text to another color. 
  4. Select the Highlight button once to remove the highlighting effect.

Tip: Customize the highlighter color using the Highlighter Color button in the Inspector Toolbar.

How to stylize text using the inspector toolbar.
