One way to quickly locate your content internally is to leverage the Vimeo OTT Admin search to find the specific collections that you want to organize or otherwise edit.
You can find this under Content > Collections, in the upper left corner of the page. You can also do the same for Categories when you navigate to Content > Categories.
đź’ˇTip: While adding metadata to your collections and categories is helpful in surfacing new content for your customers to discover, it also helps you manage your library and utilize the internal search.
How can I search my collections and categories?
When you’re managing your collections or categories within the Content section of the OTT Admin, you can refine your search to specific attributes. Use the table below to help you refine your searches. Without using one of these filters, your searches will look at every available bit of metadata you have provided.
Note that you should not include a space between the filter and the term, as shown in the examples below.
Filter |
Description |
Example |
title: |
Find collections containing your phrase in the title |
title:Welcome |
description: |
Find collections containing your phrase in the description |
description:Get Started |
added: |
Find collections added on a specific date or in a time range |
Added:2019-12-25 Values: dates must be formatted as YYYY-MM-DD |
region: |
Find collections available within a specific region |
region:US Values: 2-letter country codes or “worldwide” |
tags: |
Find collections with specific tags |
tags:fitness,abs, expert |
mediaid: |
Find collections with a specific Media ID |
mediaid:USC_920195 |
đź’ˇTip: You can combine searches to narrow your results even more. For example, if you're looking for a collection is only available in France that was added in January, search for `geo_available:fr added:2020-01-01:2020-01-31` (note that there is a space between the two search filters).
With the exception of Title and Description, you can prepend any search with a minus sign (“-”) to search for any collections that do NOT include your term. For instance, if you wanted to find all collections that were not tagged with “hiking” you could search for “-tags:hiking”.
