The Vimeo App for Webex gives you the opportunity to back up your Webex cloud recordings directly in your Vimeo account – no more downloading to your computer, then logging into Vimeo to upload. Once your recording is on Vimeo, you’ll have access to our player, collaboration tools, customizable privacy, embed settings, and much more.

⚠️Note: If you delete a video that is stored both in Webex and Vimeo in one location (e.g. Webex), it will NOT simultaneously be deleted in the other location (e.g. Vimeo). This goes both ways.

How to install the app
- In order to set up the Vimeo app for Webex, you’ll need to have an account on Vimeo and have a Webex Business tier or higher; Webex does not offer cloud storage for meeting recordings on the Basic tier.
- Click here to install the Vimeo App for Webex.
- Go through the setup flow, accept the terms, and then you’ll see the installation confirmation page. After installation success, you’ll land on your Webex Recordings folder (or assigned folder during installation).
- Once installed, you’ll be able to select Record to cloud on your Webex meeting. This cloud recording will transcode and upload to your connected Vimeo account after your meeting recording ends.
- After your video finishes transcoding, it will appear in the Webex Recordings Folder on Vimeo, where you’ll be able to access all our tools for sharing and collaboration.
⚠️Note: If you are a team member on an Enterprise account, your recordings will upload to your Private to Me folder by default. You can then edit any settings on it before moving it to another folder on the account as desired. If you are a team member on a non-Enterprise account, your recordings will upload to the assigned folder during installation or to your personal account, rather than your team account.
Webex Recordings on your preferred team and folder destination
In order to select the preferred team and folder destination for your Webex recordings, you will be prompted to make this selection while first installing the Vimeo for Webex app.
You can choose to skip this step, in which case, by default, the Webex videos will be stored in your personal account under the Webex Recordings folder.
Upload Defaults
You will be able to change your preferred team and folder destination for all of your Webex recordings from your existing settings by navigating to upload defaults and then choosing your preferred defaults settings.
Webex recording privacy settings
All videos uploaded from Webex will have the default privacy setting of “Private." You can update the recording's privacy setting after it uploads to your Vimeo account.
Can I connect multiple Webex accounts to one Vimeo account?
The Vimeo App for Webex ties one Webex account to one Vimeo account, with each Vimeo account having its own Webex Recordings folder.
How to uninstall the app
If you want to disconnect your Webex account from Vimeo, you can navigate to Connected Apps, find the app listed, and toggle to Disconnect.

Enterprise account with Private to Me

Email Notifications
You will receive an automated email once the app is installed on Vimeo. The CTA for Go to my Uploads will take you to your Upload Defaults to audit and/or modify Team and Folder selection for Webex Recordings.
Once your Webex meeting ends and the cloud recording is fully uploaded to Vimeo, you will receive an email notification that the Webex recording is available on Vimeo. You can now click through to view your Webex recording on Vimeo. You can trim, share, and add comments to your Webex recording just like any other video on Vimeo.
