The Microsoft Teams Autoarchive Integration with Vimeo is designed to streamline the saving and management of your Teams meeting recordings. With this integration, admins can install the app on behalf of all users, enabling an automated system where Teams meeting recordings are uploaded directly into a designated folder within your Vimeo video library.

What does the integration offer?
- Automated Uploads: Teams meeting recordings are automatically uploaded to Vimeo.

Requirements to set up the integration
- The user must be a Microsoft Teams admin and a Vimeo admin.

Confirm that Vimeo notifications are approved (unblocked) in Microsoft Teams admin portal (like in the screenshot below). You can control access for the organization or a specific group of users in the Microsoft app setup.
Setting up and managing the integration
Admin or Owner installation:
Follow these steps to install the app as an Admin or Owner. The user will also need to be an admin on Microsoft Teams:
- Go to the Settings page.
- Scroll down to Connected apps
- Scroll down to the Microsoft Teams app.
- Install the app for your team and allow access to your Vimeo account.
- Choose a team to onboard
- Onboard yourself and allow access to your team’s accounts
Folder selection
Follow these steps to select the folder you want to save your recordings in:
1. During setup, select the default folder in your Vimeo library where all meeting recordings will be stored.
2. You can update this folder later in the app settings.
Permissions management
Follow these steps to manage your permissions:
- Navigate to Settings in your Vimeo admin portal.
- Scroll down on Connected apps
- Click on Manage beside Microsoft Teams
- You will be able to disconnect yourself and your team and resend them the invite.
- Your team will receive a notification on their Microsoft Teams app.
Once a Teams meeting ends, the recording is automatically uploaded to the designated folder in Vimeo. Users will receive a notification in Microsoft Teams when the upload is complete, and they can easily play back the video directly in Microsoft Teams.
Notifications include suggestions for the next steps, such as sharing the video, editing it on Vimeo, or organizing it into a playlist.
