If you are streaming your event via an external encoder (such as Livestream Studio, OBS, or Teradek devices) and wish to add graphics overlays to your stream, you will need to do so using the graphics features built into most software encoders. The graphics in external software encoders are generally more flexible and have more advanced options than the graphics features previously provided for RTMP streams on the Vimeo platform.

If you are using different software (OBS, Wirecast, etc.), consult with its developer on how to add graphics overlays into your stream. Any graphics included in your stream’s output will appear as part of your stream on Vimeo.
If you are using a hardware encoder to stream your event, you can use a software encoder to receive a signal and send it over to the Vimeo platform. If you would like to use Studio Desktop for that purpose, refer to Setting Up Studio as an RTMP Server for the setup process.
