How many additional language tracks can I add to my video?
The number of additional language tracks that can be uploaded to your video depends on your Vimeo plan.
- Free subscription: Up to 1 additional audio language track per uploaded video.
- Starter: Up to 5 audio tracks per video
- Standard: Up to 10 audio tracks per video
- Advanced: Up to 15 audio tracks per video
- Enterprise: Up to 50 audio tracks per uploaded video.
Supported audio file formats for audio tracks
Supported audio file formats for audio tracks include:
- WAV
- M4A
- AAC
- MP3
You can also upload video files such as MP4, but only the audio from the file will be uploaded.
Add audio tracks to your video
To add an audio track to your video:
- Select your video from your library to open the video settings page.
- Select Languages in the left-side toolbar.
- Select the ‘+’ plus sign in the top right corner of the Languages window.
- Choose Select Files or drag and drop your audio files to upload.
- Choose your file's Language and Type (Dubbed audio, Audio description, or Commentary) so viewers can distinguish each track.
- Select Upload.

Download, replace, or delete an audio track from your video
To download, replace, or delete an audio track:
- Select your video from your library to open the video settings page.
- Select Languages in the left-side toolbar.
- Select the overflow menu represented by three vertical dots (⋮) to the right of the audio track.
- Choose whether to download, replace, or delete the track.
