AI features discussed in this article are available to Enterprise Creators and Editors, Contributors and above on accounts where Vimeo AI is enabled.
Video creators and editors of any eligible video can ask the video a question either through pre-generated questions or through any open text question. Editors can then pass on these answers to others in their organization to surface the key themes and most important elements of a video.
If you would like to ask questions and find answers of your videos or allow all viewers of your videos to be able to ask questions and find answers, you will first need to generate questions and answers before they are able to. ⚠️Note: At this time, viewers are unable to ask questions or find answers on videos set with a Public privacy setting.
To generate question about a video:
- Select the Vimeo AI sparkles button on the lower right of the video settings page.
- Select Generate Q&A.
- Vimeo AI will suggest questions that you can ask about the video based on key themes and topics from the transcript of the video recording. Select each question for the answer in the video.
- You can also ask your own question about the video. Type the question in the textbox and select Enter on your keyboard.
- The answer to your question in the video will generate. Select Play Moment in the text box to jump to the moment in the video where the answer is given.
- If an answer cannot be found in the video, the AI will respond with one of the following messages:
- Unfortunately, I can’t answer your question because your video transcript doesn’t have enough information.
- I don’t understand your question. Can you provide more detail?
- Unfortunately, I can’t help you with this type of action yet. Feel free to ask me a different question.
