You can use our web-based production tool to record your camera, screen, and guest speakers without the need for an external application and without needing to go live. You can later share the recording as a video or set it up to stream live as a prerecorded event.
- Create an event, selecting Stream with your browser during the setup process.
- In the upper right corner of the web-based production tool, click the dropdown arrow next to Go live to open the Production mode menu.
- Select Recording only. This will remove audience engagement features such as chat, Q&A, and polls.
- Configure any other elements needed for your recording such as graphic overlays, videos, and guest speakers.
- When you are ready, select Start recording.
- While recording, you have three options in the upper right corner you can choose from.
From left to right, they are:- Pause: This will pause the recording if you or your guest speakers need a break. Select the Play button that replaces it to resume recording where you left off.
- Restart: This will stop and delete the active recording and immediately start a new recording.
- Delete: This will stop and delete the current recording. You will have to manually click Start recording again to start a new recording.
- When you are ready to end the recording, select Stop recording in the top right corner.
- A modal window will open to confirm that the recording has ended and give you two options:
- Trim: This will open a new browser window allowing you to review your video’s transcript and trim unwanted sections of your video using our text-based video editor.
- Review settings: This will open the video settings page for your event’s archived video.
