This article explains the process for adding registrants to your live event by uploading a CSV file or importing a list from your CRM or MAP. Both methods can be used to manually add attendees once you've turned on Registration for your event.

How to upload a CSV file of attendees
You can upload a CSV of registrants for your webinar by following these steps:

After creating your live event or webinar, you can turn on registration any point before it ends:
- Navigate to the Settings gear from the top-right of the event settings page.
- Then, select Registration from the righthand panel and Turn on registration.
- Select Manage registrants.

Select Upload CSV in the top right corner.

Next, select the file you want to upload.
⚠️Note: We only support CSVs with up to 1000 rows. If your CSV is larger you will need to break it up into multiple files and upload them separately. -
Check the box at the bottom of the screen to confirm that all contacts listed have registered for your event or are expecting to receive related communications, then select Next.
- On the next screen, match the columns in your CSV to the columns in the Vimeo attendee table by clicking on the dropdowns under the CSV column header and selecting the corresponding column. When you are done, select Submit.
Please note the following about your CSV upload:
- Emails that are uploaded will not be cleansed or checked for spam so users should ensure that things email domains like X@test.com are stripped before uploading as Vimeo will not sanitize these.
- Registration does not support non-English characters at the moment. Please strip all non-English characters like ñ or ø before uploading.
- Attendees that you register via CSV will not receive a registration confirmation email. However, they will receive reminder and follow-up emails.
How to import attendees from your CRM or MAP
You may import contacts from your CRM or MAP list to register them as attendees of your webinar. Vimeo will receive your registrant information and send back viewer-level analytics to the CRM or marketing platform.

After creating your live event or webinar, you can turn on registration any point before it ends:
- Navigate to the Settings gear from the top-right of the event settings page.
- Then, select Registration from the righthand panel and Turn on registration.
- Select Manage registrants.
- On the upper righthand corner of the next page, select Sync from email list. You will be prompted to connect to your provider if you have not already done so.
- Once you have connected and selected your CRM or MAP, you can choose your list in the dropdown menu.
- Select Next to continue and then Done once it has finished uploading.

Your list will populate on the Attendees page.
⚠️Note: Duplicate information in your list will override the Vimeo attendee table (i.e. if any of your attendees have already registered). -
To remove an uploaded list, hover over it and select the options menu (⋯) and choose Disconnect list.
⚠️Note: Attendees that you register via the list will not receive a registration confirmation email. However, they will receive reminder and follow-up emails.
Analytics for attendees
Viewer-level analytics are automatically pushed to the CRM once the event is complete. For Marketo, Custom Fields will be created for Viewer Level Analytics passed from Vimeo. Those custom fields include:
- Watch Time Percentage
- Vimeo Events - QnA
- Vimeo Events - Polls
- The attendee status if they attended will also change to Attended Live
