About uploading 180 & 360 videos to Vimeo
Vimeo supports the uploading of 180 & 360 videos from the Vimeo apps for iPhone, iPad and Android, Mac, Vision Pro, and the vimeo.com website. Uploads require the following video specifications:
For VR180 & 360:
- Spherical Video V2
- Side-by-side OR top-and-bottom
- Monoscopic or Stereoscopic
- Projection: Equirectangular

For APMP 180 & 360:
- HEVC for mono or frame packed stereo / MV-HEVC for layered
- stereo
- Side-by-side, top-and-bottom / Layered Stereo (MV-HEVC)
- Monoscopic or Stereoscopic
- Projection: Equirectangular
- Color Depth: 10-bit
When a supported format above is uploaded, Vimeo will produce:
- Spherical V2 h.264
- APMP 10-bit, HEVC or MV-HEVC
Note: Vimeo does not currently support upload or playback of APMP Wide Field of View (APMP WFoV) or Apple Immersive Video (AIV).
Playing immersive 180 & 360 videos
Immersive videos can be watched in 3D on the Vimeo App for Vision Pro, and in 2D on other supported Vimeo mobile apps and Vimeo.com.

How do I capture spatial videos?
Spatial video can be captured using supported iPhones and Vision Pro devices. These can then be uploaded to Vimeo.
About uploading spatial videos to Vimeo
- Vimeo supports the upload of spatial videos from the Vimeo apps for iPhone, iPad and Android, Mac, Vision Pro, and the vimeo.com website.
- Spatial video uploads require the following:
- MV-HEVC
- Stereoscopic
- Projection: Rectilinear
- Field of View: 90 degrees
- Color Depth: 8-bit
When a supported format above is uploaded, Vimeo will produce:
- APMP 8-bit, MV-HEVC
Playing spatial videos
Spatial videos can be watched in 3D on the Vimeo App for Vision Pro, and in 2D on other supported Vimeo mobile apps and Vimeo.com. The full 180 or 360 field of view of the video is visible on all devices.
Unsupported Features
Immersive and spatial videos do not support the following Vimeo features:
- Vimeo’s video editor on web or mobile apps
- Review pages
- Vimeo does not currently support upload or playback of APMP Wide Field of View (APMP WFoV) or Apple Immersive Video (AIV)
