What to know before you apply a content rating to your live event
Before rating your live event, please be aware of the following:
- Content ratings: We ask that you apply content ratings to your videos and live events and disclose whether they contain an advertisement. Learn about Content Ratings at About content ratings.
- All Audiences v. Mature Audiences: If your live event contains violence, profanity, nudity, or drug/alcohol use, your live event should be rated for Mature Audiences.
- Access in Certain Regions: If your event is unrated, viewers in certain countries (such as the UK and EU) will be required to log into a Vimeo account to watch, even if the event is set to Public.
- Finality: Once you select a rating for a live event, you cannot change it back to "Not yet rated."

You can add a content rating from the event page. To do so:

- On the page for the Live Event, select the Settings gear icon
at the top-right of the page to open the Settings menu.
- In the Settings menu, on the right side of the page, expand the Privacy header.
- Scroll down to Select content rating.
- Select the dropdown menu and select either All audiences or Mature.
- If you select Mature, additional checkboxes for specific warnings will appear; be sure to check all that apply.
- If your event contains sponsored content, check the box next to This video contains an advertisement.
- Your changes are saved automatically.
