A free plan on Vimeo limits you to a single seat (the owner). Currently, when you create a Free account, you may upload or create up to 1 GB of content for the lifetime of the plan unless you upgrade.
⚠️Note: If you created your Vimeo account before June 17, 2024, you may have different video storage limitations on the Free plan. Check your sign-up date in the upper left-hand corner of your account settings, or check the lower left corner of your homepage or library to track your available video storage.
These video storage limitations are in place for the lifetime of the free account and do not reset or renew. After you reach the free video limit, you will need to upgrade your account to upload or create more videos.
A free plan on Vimeo stays free forever. As long as you are following our guidelines and logging in every once in a while, your account will remain intact.
We consider accounts that have not been used for a full year to be inactive, and we reserve the right to remove inactive accounts. We’ll notify you in advance if your account is in danger of deletion due to inactivity and you’ll have an opportunity to reactivate it.
