This feature requires a Starter, Standard, Advanced, Pro, Business, Premium, or Enterprise plan.
This feature enables you to access video review pages, making it easy to gather feedback and securely share rough cuts. These pages are semi-private, unlisted, and mobile-compatible, so you can easily share them with reviewers — even if they don’t have Vimeo accounts.
Your reviewers can also add time-coded notes, right in the video, to streamline your video review process. If you’re an Enterprise user, review tools, such as time-coded notes and note resolution, are also available in the comments panel on the new simplified video settings and video clip pages. To make collaboration even easier and keep everyone on the same page, each team member will receive notifications on the activity on the review page (unless they choose to opt out).
If you are on a Basic/Plus, or Free/Starter plan, you can see a demo version of the video review page but you'll need to upgrade to Pro, Standard, or higher to access thefull functionality of review pages for your videos.

Review pages
You can access your video review page link by selecting the options menu (…) in the top right corner of the video settings page and then Review video.
This button is only visible to you (the video owner), all admins and contributors who have explicit Can edit permission to the video. To share your review page outside of your team, you’ll need to copy the private link and send it to your reviewers directly.
Review pages can be shared in two different settings: review and presentation. The review setting allows for collaboration — anyone that you’ve shared the page with can leave and respond to time-coded notes. The presentation mode allows you to share a view-only version of your video with no comments or distractions.
To switch the settings of your review page, select the dropdown in the upper right-hand corner of your review page (note: you must be logged into your Vimeo account). From here, you'll be able to choose between review or presentation mode. Please note that only one mode can be activated at any given time.
Time-coded notes
In review mode, time-coded notes help you seamlessly gather feedback on your video review page from reviewers.
Enabling time-coded notes
If you want reviewers to be able to leave time-coded notes on your review page, make sure you have "Review" enabled in your sharing settings. Near the top right corner of your review page, activate "Review" in the dropdown. You will then receive an email notification whenever a note is left on one of your review pages.
Leaving a time-coded note
Anyone with access to your review page can click anywhere on the video to leave a time-coded note. Each note is associated with a blue dot in the frame of the video and a white marker in the play bar.
If the reviewer is logged in to Vimeo, their name and profile picture will be associated with their notes. If the person leaving feedback doesn’t have a Vimeo account, all they have to do is provide a name when they leave a note on your review page.
Finding your feedback
All notes appear in a feed on the right side of the page, organized by time-code. Clicking on a note in the feed takes you to that exact spot in the video. When you click on a white marker in the play bar, the associated note will become highlighted, and you’ll be taken to that specific place in the video as well.
Replying to, editing, and deleting notes
You and other reviewers can respond to feedback by hitting “Reply” on a time-coded note. Only reviewers which are logged into a Vimeo account can edit or delete their own notes. As the video owner, you can delete or reply to a note on your review page and download a CSV that contains all notes and replies.
Resolving notes
Time-coded notes double as “to-dos.” As you incorporate the feedback into your video edits, click the gray check mark at the top of a time-coded note to resolve it. Resolving a note will strike out its text and the text of any of its replies. You can un-resolve a note by simply clicking the checkmark again.
Hiding notes
If there is a ton of existing feedback on your review page, reviewers can click the “Hide Notes” button to hide the feed and focus solely on your video. They can still leave time-coded notes when the feed is hidden, and clicking the “Show Notes” button will bring back the feed.
Downloading notes
If you want to save a local copy of all the notes left on your review page, you can download a CSV of all the notes left by clicking the ••• menu above the notes and selecting Download CSV.
The CSV file will contain:
- Video version of the note that was left on
- Note number (order of parent notes, followed by order of that note's replies)
- Time code where the note was left
- User name of the commenter
- The original note
- A reply to the original note (if applicable)
- The date and time the note was added
- Whether or not the note has been resolved ("yes" or "no")
Managing your review page settings
Email notifications: On team accounts, you can enable or disable email notifications for any review page you have been given access to. Using this feature, team members can collaborate effectively and stay updated on new notes added to a review page. All team members with access to a video will be opted into the notifications by default. You can manage this setting through individual review pages or through your account notification settings if you want to turn this notification off for all review pages. This feature is exclusive to team accounts.
Copy Link: The Copy Link button near the top right corner allows you to copy the video link, review link, download link, and embed code.
Downloads: You can enable or disable the ability to download your video in the Privacy section in your video settings. If downloads are enabled, anyone with access to your review page will be able to download your video by clicking the down arrow under the video player. Viewers can choose to download the video in any resolution or download your source file if you have source file storage enabled.
Privacy: By default, you can share the link to your review page with Everyone, meaning any recipient can view and comment on the video review page. You can update the default privacy setting of your review pages for new videos you add to your account. To do so:
- Navigate to the Review Page Privacy section of your account settings.
- Select either:
- Team only - Only Contributors and Admin can view and comment.
- Everyone - Anyone with the link can view and comment.
-
(optional) You can also change the review page privacy for all videos currently on your account to the new default setting by ticking the box next to Apply to all existing videos.
- Important: While you can always change your default setting and override the default setting on individual video review pages, you cannot undo bulk-changing all existing videos to a single privacy setting. For example, if you want most videos to be set to Team only but leave some videos set to Everyone, you would need to update the setting in the Share menu on those individual review pages to Everyone after applying this bulk change.
- If you have been historically configuring this setting on an as-needed, per-video basis, you may prefer to keep this box unchecked.
- Click Save to apply the setting.
You can override the default privacy setting for any individual video review page as needed. To do so:
- Select Share in the upper right corner of the review page.
- Under Get link, open the dropdown and choose between Team Only or Everyone.
- The setting will automatically save upon selection.
If you would like an extra layer of security on your video’s review page, change the video’s privacy settings to Password. Anyone who opens the video review page link would need to enter the video’s password to access the page.
Send Files: The Send File button allows you to share a private page link to download your video files in multiple resolutions.
Sharing settings: Review mode allows time-coded notes to appear on your review page. Presentation mode allows you to share a view-only version of your video with no comments.
Vimeo logo: By default, the Vimeo logo appears in the top left corner of your review page. To remove it, click the Sharing settings in the top right corner, deactivate the “Display Vimeo Logo” setting, and hit Save. You can also display your team logo on this page by using the team switcher in the main menu found in the upper right corner of your library below your profile avatar. Select Manage team and add a logo to your account regardless if you have team members or not.
Analytics for your review page
If you are interested in the impressions, plays, finishes, and downloads from your review page, go to your Source URL report, expand the vimeo.com row in the Source URL column, and look for your review page link.
Review page for 360 video
Vimeo Pro, Business, Premium, Standard, Advanced, and Enterprise members can use the video review page to share their 360 videos quickly and securely. However, the review page’s in-video notes are not currently supported for 360 videos and will be disabled automatically.
Sharing a group of review pages
Vimeo Pro, Business, Premium, Standard, Advanced, and Enterprise level users can share a link to all of the review pages of videos located in a folder. Note that if a shared folder contains a public video, clicking on the public video within the folder won’t redirect to the review page. Review pages are not available for public videos unless shared within a team.
To share a link of all review pages for a folder:
- Navigate to the review page of a video in the folder that you would like to share.
- Select the Share drop-down button at the top-right of the page and select Share Folder.
- Add team members, groups, or email addresses to share the selected folder with. You can also select the Copy Link button to copy the URL of the folder to copy/paste and share with your team directly.
- When your team member opens the link, they will be brought to your folder of videos. Here, they can select a video and then select the Comments button in the upper-righthand corner of the video page.
- On the review page, your team member can switch to another video’s review page by selecting the button in the lower right corner with a folder icon and the name of the folder.
- Selecting this button will open a carousel of thumbnails of the videos in that folder. Selecting a thumbnail of another video in the folder will open that video’s review page.
