Report basics
The Bandwidth report is designed to help you understand bandwidth usage on your account. In this report you are able to see your account's bandwidth usage over time, broken down by Live Events and Video on Demand content. Click here to navigate to your account's Bandwidth report. (Note: You must be logged in and be the owner of a paid account to access it).
Please check out this article for more information on bandwidth usage and how it is calculated.
⚠️Note: Due to processing time, bandwidth usage data in this report is often reported 3-4 days behind the current date.
Accessing the Bandwidth report
If your account has access to a Bandwidth report, you will see a widget on the sidebar in Analytics. The widget will (a) show account bandwidth usage for the current month and (b) display a link for you to access the Bandwidth report.
To open the report, scroll down on the Analytics page and then select View report.
Using your Bandwidth report
Date picker
The default time range for the Bandwidth report is the last 12 months (including the current month).
If you would like, you can adjust the time range of your report using the date picker at the top left of the report page. You can select dates going back to January 1, 2020 and up until the current day. Data will continue to show grouped as “Month-Year” but will respect the dates you selected in the date picker.
For example: a date selection of ‘2021.05.01’ to ‘2021.06.10’ will show two rows of bandwidth usage data - one row for all of May and one row for June 1 through June 10.
Content picker
You can use the content picker to filter your bandwidth analytics by folder or video. Open the content dropdown to search and select one or multiple videos or folders and then Apply. Your graph and table will reload with your selections.
Graph
The graph component will adjust to your selected date range and content. It will display in stacked bar format showing Live Event and Video on Demand bandwidth usage per month.
Table
The table component will adjust to your selected date range and content. It displays rows showing Live Event and Video on Demand Bandwidth usage per month.
The default sort order for this table is ascending according to date. If you would like, you can order the table according to ascending or descending order in each column.
If you select Bandwidth by video, the table will populate with analytics for each of the videos in your selected date range and content filter.
