As a paid subscriber, you have two distinct libraries to help you manage your video content: My Library and Team Library. Each is designed for a specific purpose, providing you with a flexible and organised way to handle your personal and shared videos.
As a free user, you will have access to only one library. Upon upgrade, the library will become the Team Library, and you will gain access to a dedicated My Library space for your personal videos. This article summarises the features of both libraries and how to use them.

What to know before using the library
Things to know before utilising the library:
- My library is accessible to all users, both free and paid.
- The Team library is exclusively available to paid users.
- Certain features within the Team library are strictly reserved for Enterprise users.
Things to know about My library:
- My library refers to a user's private library within a specific Workspace. Workspace and Organisation administrators can view these folders.
- My library is a personal space for users to upload, create, manage, and save their content. This space cannot be renamed or deleted.
- Owners, Admins, Contributors, and Contributor Plus (Enterprise only) can add content.
- Videos uploaded, recorded, or saved to Vimeo go to My library by default unless chosen otherwise.
- Users can share content, set privacy, move videos to the Team library, or keep them private for drafts.
- Viewers see My library, but can't add content until they are upgraded to Contributor or above.
Things to know about the Team library:
- The Team library refers to a user’s team library within a specific Workspace.
- The Team library, accessible from the home page, is for team collaboration, organising shared videos and folders, and knowledge sharing.
- Owners and Admins can view all content uploaded by any team member within the Team library.
- Contributor Plus (Enterprise only), Contributors, and Viewer roles need specific folder permissions to access content in their Team library.
How to navigate to My library or the Team library
To navigate to either of the libraries:
- Click on the left navigation panel from your home page, within your selected Workspace.
- Select My library or Team library from the options.
What actions can I perform in My library and the Team library
Unified Search
Vimeo's search offers a unified and faster way to find content. You can:
- Search both the Library and public content from a single interface.
- Find specific video segments using keyword searches within transcripts.
- Utilize filters and sorting options to refine results.
- Easily switch between My library and public content views.

Bulk actions
You can perform bulk actions on videos in your My library, Team library, or directly from search results within your Library. To select a video, check the box located on the left side of its thumbnail or row, depending on whether you are in grid-view or list-view.
Once you start selecting videos, the following bulk action options will appear:
- Add to Showcase: Add selected videos to any of your existing showcases.

Move: Move up to 50 selected videos to a folder of your choice.

- You can move videos from the Library to a folder.
- You can move videos from one Library folder to another.
- You cannot move videos back into the Library once they are moved out.
- You can move folders to another folder or the library.
- Privacy: Change privacy settings for up to 50 videos at a time. You can select Link privacy or Embed privacy as required. You can also choose to allow or disable downloads. Note that Vimeo Stock clips and Vimeo On Demand videos must remain private.
- Delete: Permanently delete up to 100 selected videos from your account after entering your password (Only the Organization owner or admin can perform this action).
⚠️Note: Currently, providing additional details for videos in bulk is not an option.
Make changes to individual videos
- To make detailed changes to an individual video or check its file size, access its settings by clicking the video's thumbnail in your Library. For more information, refer to the Video settings overview article.
- To edit the settings for all your videos simultaneously, go to the Videos tab in your Account settings. After modifying your Upload defaults, ensure you select the Also apply to all existing videos checkbox before saving your changes.
- When in list mode, additional options for performing actions related to the video will become visible when you hover over it.
- In grid mode, they’ll appear in the top right corner of the video
- Copy link: You can copy the link to your video and paste it wherever you want to share it.

Video info: This button will open a side panel that displays expanded video metadata and allows you to take quick actions on your video directly from the library, such as sharing, adjusting privacy settings, and copying the video link.
- Share: Click on share to open the video share modal to see who has access to the video and can share it with others.
Making the most of the library
Sort your videos
- Inside your library, select the Last modified dropdown in the top right corner.
- Choose from the options to sort your content by:
- Title, A to Z
- Title, Z to A
- Last modified
- First modified
- Last added
- First added
- Longest
- Shortest
Filter your videos:
You can filter your videos by Type, Privacy, and Created by filters. You can use the Created by filter if you are on a team account and want to filter videos by creator in the Team library and folders.
- Go to your library from your Vimeo account and select the filter of your choice.
- To filter by Type, select your preference from the dropdown menu.
- To filter by Privacy, select one or more privacy options from the dropdown.
To filter your videos by the Created by filter:
- From your home page, navigate to the Team library.

Click on the Created by filter dropdown.

Select one or more team members from the dropdown menu.
Additional features in My library and Team library
Additional features are accessible from the Videos tab by clicking the ellipses (•••) icon. These features include:
- Share: This icon, depicting an upward-pointing arrow, shares the video.
- Copy link: Copies the video link.
- Copy review link: Copies the review video link.
- Copy embed code: The </> icon copies the video's embed code.
- Analytics: A small graph icon leads to the analytics panel, displaying 30 days of data for the specific video. Further information is available at Vimeo Analytics.
- Review: This icon, a speech bubble with a checkmark, navigates to the video's review page. Basic or Plus accounts will only observe a demo review page that is not shareable.
- Download: Opens a modal for downloading all available versions of the video. This is not shareable.
- Move: Relocates the video to a different folder.
- Replace: Navigates to the Collaboration tab within the video's settings, where the current file can be replaced with another. Versions can be compared on the Video review page.
- Add to Starred: Stars the video/folder, thereby ensuring its appearance in the Starred folder on the home page's left navigation panel.
- Delete: Deletes the video.
