The native Vimeo integration with Facebook allows marketers to create and add video to their posts and media library within Meta Business Suite. This is a single place across mobile and desktop for businesses to access the tools they need to generate content across Facebook and Instagram and communicate with their customers (customer communication management, or CCM).
How to access Create within Facebook (Meta) Business Suite
First, log into the Meta Business Suite. From here, there are two primary entry points for the Facebook + Vimeo integration:
Following those entry points, the Create experience generally matches what you would see on Vimeo.com.
Post Composer
Here's a video overview of the post composer:
You can create a post to publish to your Business Page which will provide an option to add media. Note there are multiple ways you can create a post on your Facebook account:
- On your Business Page > Create post.
-
Post and Stories > Create post or Schedule post
-
Planner > Create > Create post
- Planner > select a day in the calendar > Create post
All of these entry points take you to Facebook’s post composer.
-
In the post composer, you will see a Media section. Select Add video, then choose Use Vimeo template.
- The Create window will open and automatically select the Facebook Ads template category. From here, you can use a template or select Create your own.Note that selecting either will prompt you to log into a Vimeo account if you are not already. If you are a Basic user, templates labeled “PRO” will not be available for you to use unless you upgrade your Vimeo account.
-
You will be brought into the Create Editor, where you can customize your video just as you would on Vimeo.com. When you’re done, click Save & preview.
-
You’ll be brought to a Preview page. From here you can:
- Manage the Video Title: You can modify the title of your video
- Download the Video: You can download the video in 1080p
- Edit the Video: You can re-enter the edit flow to further modify their video
- Use on Facebook: You can publish this video to your Facebook media library, allowing the video asset to be available for all activities in Facebook.
- After selecting Use on Facebook, the video will take a moment to process. When it’s ready, click Back to Facebook to go back to the Facebook post composer.
- From here, the video will upload to your Meta Media Library. This will take a moment.
-
Once ready, you will see your video in the post composer and you can edit the rest of your post as needed, such as adding text. You can then Publish or Schedule your post as desired.
Upcoming Moments (US only)
You can also create videos within the Meta Business Suite’s Planner under Moments.
Note: Meta currently limits this feature to users in the US only.
- In the Planner, go to the right-hand panel and navigate to the upcoming moments sections
- Here, you will see holidays, seasons, and more. When applicable, the moments include a call to action to See Templates.
- When selected, the Create experience opens up and is automatically routed to the appropriate template search to jumpstart you into your creation flow.
- Select a template that appears in the search results and click Customize, or select Create your own to enter the Create editor.
- When you are done editing your video, click Save & preview.
- You’ll be brought to the Preview page.
- Once ready, you will see your video in the post composer and you can edit the rest of your post as needed, such as adding text
- If you choose to Schedule your post, the default date will be mapped to the day noted in the Planner moments section. Click Save to schedule it.
Additional notes
- Managing Media: While you can add or replace media by uploading your own or pulling from Google Photos or Vimeo Stock, there is currently no media bridge connection bringing your Facebook media library into Create.
- File storage on Meta: In addition to seeing the video load in the Post Composer, the video is also available in your media library – also referred to as the file manager – allowing this asset to be accessible and reused within Meta Business Suite.
