How to view a video's transcript
You can view the transcript of a video you've uploaded by following these steps:
- Select the video in your Library to navigate to the video settings page.
- On the left side navigation, select the Subtitles and audio button.
- Select Subtitles.
- Select the Transcript tab in the panel.
- Click on any segment of the transcript to navigate to that point in the video, or use the search bar to find keywords in the transcript and jump to that segment.
💡Tip: If you leave the panel open while your video plays, the system will auto-scroll through each line of text and highlight it when it appears in the player so that you can follow along.
How to download your video's Auto CC transcript
You can download the transcript of any video you've uploaded that has Auto CC enabled. Follow these steps to learn how:
- Select the video in your Library to navigate to the video settings page.
- From the left side navigation, select the Captions button. The Captions and audio panel will open.
- Select Closed Captions.
- Select the Settings tab in the panel.
- Select the Download button next to the auto-generated captions label. It is indicated by an arrow pointing down.

Auto-generated captions will download in the VTT format.
How to download a caption or subtitle file from your video
To download a captions or subtitle file that you previously uploaded, follow these steps:
- Navigate to your Library and open the desired video.
- Select the Subtitles and audio button to the left of the player and then Subtitles to open the transcript.
- Select Settings from within the panel (to the right of Transcript).
- Select the options menu (...) next to your file and then select Download file from the dropdown menu.
- Your file will download in the same format that it was uploaded in. For instance, if you have uploaded a SRT caption file it will also be downloaded as an SRT file.
