You can edit your video’s transcript in the Language menu on the video’s settings page. This article explains how to edit your video's transcript.
In this article:
How to edit a transcript
You can edit your video’s most recent transcript directly on your video’s settings page. If your video has multiple language tracks, you can edit each file individually. To do so:
- Select your video from your library.
- Select Languages from the left-side toolbar.
- Select the overflow menu (⋮) to the right of the transcript that you want to edit,
- Select Edit to open the transcript.
- Once you have found a line of text to edit, select the text box and make any necessary changes.
Editing subtitle timestamps
You can also edit the start and end timestamps of individual subtitles directly in the transcript editor. You don't need to download the file internally. To adjust a timestamp:
- Find the subtitle row you want to adjust.
- Select the start or end timestamp field on that row.
- Enter the new time value.
- The preview updates immediately, and your changes sync across all platforms.
Note: Timestamp editing is available only for VOD content. It is not supported for live event transcriptions. Timestamps must be edited one subtitle at a time; bulk editing is not available.
