Viewers with a Vimeo account can ask questions and find answers on AI-eligible videos. You can determine which videos support questions and answers if the video has the Vimeo AI sparkles button under the video player.

⚠️Note: At this time, viewers are unable to ask questions or find answers on videos set with a Public privacy setting.
To ask a question and find answers of a video:
- Under the video player of eligible videos, select the Vimeo AI sparkles button

In the questions and answers box, you can select from pre-generated questions about the video. Select Enter on your keyboard.

Vimeo AI will present you with the answer to your question if available.

Select Play moment to jump to the point in the video where the answer is provided.
- If an answer cannot be found in the video, the AI will respond with one of the following messages:
- Unfortunately, I can’t answer your question because your video transcript doesn’t have enough information.
- I don’t understand your question. Can you provide more detail?
- Unfortunately, I can’t help you with this type of action yet. Feel free to ask me a different question.
- Unfortunately, I can’t answer this type of question yet.
What if a video does not have the Vimeo AI sparkles button under the player?
If a video does not have the Vimeo AI sparkles button under the player, it is not possible to use Vimeo AI to ask the video a question. The owner of the video has either not generated questions and answers or has disabled AI for viewers.
