What to know before building the custom vocabulary list
Before building your custom vocabulary list, take note of the following:
- This is not a translation dictionary. It only improves transcription accuracy for the video's original language.
-
Account Owners and Admins can create and manage custom vocabulary lists.
- For Enterprise accounts with Workspaces: Workspace admins can create and manage custom vocabulary lists for the Workspace.
- Your custom vocabulary list can contain up to 50 keywords/phrases.
- Vimeo Enterprise users can add up to 1000 keywords/phrases.
- Keywords are limited to 34 characters.
- Phrases are limited to 12 words.
- Words and phrases are limited to letters in the English alphabet (a-z, A-Z). Special characters, numbers, and letters from other alphabets are currently not supported.
- If your video has subtitles in multiple languages, replacing words or phrases in one file will not automatically replace them in the other language files. Each file must be updated individually for each language.
