Admins can control Vimeo AI per team member: who can use each AI feature and how many AI credits each member can spend. You can grant access per person, set optional credit limits, and see how much each member has used.
Note: Per-member AI access and credit limits are automatically enabled for all users in scope at no extra charge.
What admins can control per member
- AI User toggle: an umbrella switch that grants or removes access to Vimeo AI for a member.
- Feature switches: six single-feature switches that override role defaults: Translations, Video details, Highlights, Scripts, Custom dictionary, and Live captions.
- AI credit limit: an optional per-member limit. The default is no limit. When a member reaches the limit, they can't use more AI credits until it resets.
- Usage visibility: an X of Y used indicator with a progress bar.
How to manage per-member AI access
- Go to Settings > Members, then select Manage features access.
- Use the AI User toggle to grant or remove access.
- Turn individual feature switches on or off to override the member's role defaults.
- Optionally set an AI credit limit. Leave it off to allow unlimited use.
- Review the member's usage against their limit.
Why use per-member controls
- Cost control: cap a specific person instead of letting one heavy member use the whole account's AI credits.
- Least privilege and compliance: give a contractor translation but not highlights, instead of all AI features or none.
- Visibility: see how much AI a member has used and against what limit.
