About AI credits

On Vimeo, AI credits are used to pay for AI-powered translations of your video's subtitles and/or audio. This article provides an overview of AI credits, who can use them, and how to check your balance.

Who can use AI credits? 

If you are the account owner or a team member with edit rights, you can use AI credits to translate your videos' subtitles and/or audio. 

Team owners and admins can control their team's access to AI tools on the AI settings page. 

Vimeo Enterprise with Workspaces: Vimeo AI credits and access to AI tools are managed at the Organization level by Organization Owners and Admins. 

Who can buy additional AI credits?

Paid plans, excluding Enterprise, cannot pre-purchase AI credit bundles, but can purchase credits when translating videos. 

If you are an Enterprise account owner, speak to your account manager to buy additional AI credits.

How much do AI credits cost? 

Credit prices are visible in the Vimeo AI section on our plan comparison page by hovering over ⓘ " Buy AI Credits. The price is also displayed during the translation process under the number of credits needed to complete your translation project.

How to check my AI credit balance

If you are an Enterprise user, you can view how many credits were used from your total balance on the bottom left of the Vimeo homepage.
