This feature requires a paid plan.
AI credits are used for Vimeo AI features, including video translation, dubbing, live auto-captions, and live caption translation. Enterprise accounts can manage AI credits and usage across their Organization and Workspaces.
Who can use AI credits?
Account owners and team members with the required editing permissions can use AI credits for available Vimeo AI features. Team owners and admins can manage access to AI tools from the AI settings page.
Enterprise accounts with Workspaces: Organization Owners and Organization Admins can view and manage AI credit usage and allocations across the Organization and its Workspaces.
How AI credits are used
AI credits are taken from a shared balance. The balance shows credits granted to your account, credits used, and credits remaining. Usage is broken down by AI feature, such as video dubbing, live captions, and live translation.
AI API requests use the same credit balance and rates as the Vimeo web interface. See How to use the Vimeo AI API for details.
How to check your balance and usage
Enterprise Organization Owners and Organization Admins can open Organization settings > Usage to view the Organization balance, usage history, Workspace breakdowns, and available allocation information. Depending on your account setup, admins may also be able to manage the credit allocation for individual Workspaces and export usage history as a CSV file.
Credit renewal and expiration
Recurring AI credit allocations renew according to their configured annual schedule. One-time credit grants and gifts do not renew. Unused credits do not roll over unless your account terms say otherwise. Contact your Account Manager if you have questions about your account’s allocation or renewal terms.
What happens when credits are insufficient?
Vimeo shows when an AI action requires more credits than are available. Depending on your plan and feature, you may need to purchase additional credits or contact your Account Manager. For live auto-captions, see Live caption hours are becoming AI credits.
How much do AI credits cost?
See AI credits rates and guidelines for current usage rates, expiration policies, and purchasing information.
Per-member AI access and credit limits
Admins can control Vimeo AI per team member, including optional per-member AI credit limits and usage visibility. See How to manage per-member AI access and credit limits.
