I purchased my Vimeo subscription in an app via my Apple or Google Play account. Can I manage that subscription on the Vimeo website?
If you purchased your Vimeo subscription via your Apple or Google Play account in the Vimeo app, Vimeo Create app, Mevo app, or the Magisto app, you can only manage that recurring subscription in your Apple Account Subscriptions settings (for iOS) or in your Google Play Store Subscriptions (for Android).
You cannot manage your subscription on the Vimeo website if you purchased via Apple or Google. This is because the transaction did not occur on vimeo.com.
How do I cancel my subscription if I purchased via Apple or Google?
When you purchase a subscription via the mobile app, the transaction likely occurred either in the Apple App Store or Google Play, depending on your device type.
- If you purchased on an iOS device, Apple provides detailed instructions for canceling in-app subscriptions purchased via Apple on its support site.
- If you purchased on an Android device, Google provides detailed instructions for canceling in-app subscriptions purchased via Google on its support site.
If you cannot find your Vimeo subscription in your device’s subscription settings section, log into your Vimeo account on a web browser using the email associated with the account being billed and check your billing settings page for the option to cancel.
If I delete the Vimeo app from my device, will that cancel my subscription?
Deleting the app that you used to purchase your Vimeo subscription from your mobile device will not cancel your Vimeo subscription. This must be done directly via the platform you used to purchase your subscription as described above.
If I delete my Vimeo account, will that cancel my subscription with Apple or Google?
Deleting your Vimeo account does not affect your subscription status with Apple or Google. You must cancel directly via the platform you used to purchase your subscription as described above.
Can I upgrade my subscription if it was purchased via Apple or Google Play?
If you purchased your Vimeo subscription via Apple or Google Play and wish to upgrade, your ability to do so depends on which plan you previously purchased.
- If you purchased Plus via the Vimeo app, you can upgrade to Pro via prompts in the Vimeo app or your device’s subscription management section. You cannot upgrade via vimeo.com.
- If you purchased Pro, it is not possible to upgrade to Business or Premium in the Vimeo app.
- You would need to cancel your app subscription in the appropriate App Store, wait for your subscription to lapse, then re-purchase via vimeo.com.
- Your videos may briefly move into our archive storage in between subscriptions, but they will be restored upon purchasing the new plan.
- If you purchased Starter or Standard, you can upgrade your subscription via the app; follow the Upgrade prompts in the Vimeo app to do so.
- Subscriptions initially purchased via Apple or Google Play cannot be upgraded via vimeo.com.
- If you purchased Advanced, you would need to speak with our sales team to upgrade to Enterprise, regardless of where you purchased your subscription.
