There are a variety of email notifications you can receive from Vimeo about activity on your account or updates about Vimeo in general. This article discusses how to find your email notification settings and which ones you can turn on and off.

What to know about email notifications
- Some types of emails cannot be turned off. You will always receive emails from Vimeo regarding your subscription purchase or renewal, lapse date, or updates to our legal policies.
- Any email notification that can be turned off will include an ‘Unsubscribe’ option at the bottom of the message, which will also update your settings for that type of email.
- Opting out of any of these notifications is not permanent; you can always turn them back on if you change your mind.
How to update my email notification preferences
To update your notification settings:
- After logging into Vimeo, open your account menu in the upper right corner, then select Settings.
- In the left side navigation menu, select Notifications.
- The Notifications settings page will open, showing all the types of emails you can receive. Select your preferences using the corresponding radio buttons.
- For Comments, choose one of the options presented (select None to opt out of emails).
- For all other categories, choose Yes to receive that type of email or No to opt out of receiving that email.
- When you’ve finished adjusting your preferences, scroll to the bottom and select Save.
- Your email preferences have been updated.
- Keep in mind that for Vimeo News, it may take 2-3 business days for your preference update to take effect.
What types of emails can I turn on and off?
There are eight broad categories of emails that Vimeo sends that you can opt in and out of on the Notifications settings page, defined and detailed in the table below.

| Vimeo On Demand | Emails about either title purchases on Vimeo On Demand (VOD), or titles you sell on Vimeo On Demand. |
