On-site notifications provide real-time updates about activity related to your Vimeo account, such as interactions with your videos or updates on purchases. This article explains how to access these alerts and what activities trigger them.

How to view on-site notifications
You can view updates regarding your account activity at any time. To do so:
- After logging into your Vimeo account, locate the bell icon in the top navigation bar, positioned between the search bar and your profile picture.
- Select the bell icon to reveal a scrollable list of recent activity. A red dot will appear on the icon if you have unread notifications.
- Select a specific notification to navigate to that event, or select See all at the bottom of the list to view a full history of activity from the last 30 days.
Types of on-site notifications
You will receive an on-site notification for the following activities:
- Engagement:
- Someone follows you.
- A new like on one of your videos.
- A new comment on one of your videos.
- A new reply to your comment.
- You are @mentioned in a comment.
- Someone follows a channel you created.
- Content & Sharing:
- A video you uploaded is ready to watch.
- Someone shares a video with you.
- You are added to the credits of a video.
- Someone you follow uploads a new video.
- Vimeo On Demand (VOD):
- Your successful purchase of a VOD title.
- A VOD rental is about to expire.
While these notifications appear automatically on the site, you can manage the corresponding email alerts for these events in your account settings.
