Embedding your video allows you to extend its reach and increase its visibility. In this article, we will guide you through the steps to embed your video on external sites, ensuring smooth integration.
Follow these steps to embed your video outside of vimeo.com:
- Select your video to open the video settings page.
-
In the upper right corner, select the Share button.
-
Select the Embed tab from the window that opens up.
- A modal window will open with the HTML code. By default, this code is for a Responsive player, but you can manually configure the embedded player's size (in pixels) if you wish. To do so, select Customize and toggle on Set custom dimensions.
-
You can edit Embed privacy on this modal and select where your video can be embedded. You may also select the gear icon to edit the following settings:
- Allow downloads (toggle on/off)
- People can add to the showcase (toggle on/off)
- Allow public comments (toggle on/off)
- Privacy defaults
- Select Copy embed code to copy the HTML code to your clipboard, which you can then paste into your website’s HTML editor.
- Any future changes you make to your video, such as its appearance settings, will automatically apply to the embedded player. You will not need to re-embed your video.
